A small pizzeria in Naples, Italy is the inspiration behind 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani’s story for Tony’s Pizza Napoletana. A fulfillment in his ever-growing passion for pizza drew him to self-content when he tried an authentic Neapolitan pizza. Since then, he was determined to learn this art of pizza making and one day open a restaurant like no other. Growing up, Tony worked by his mother’s side, learning valuable skills he would later implement in operating a successful restaurant. Tony learned the creativity involved in preparing hand crafted dishes, only to include the finest ingredients straight from the heart of Italy.

Tony Gemignani has been involved in the pizza industry since 1991. Since then, Tony has won numerous awards for World’s Best Pizza at competitions all over the world. Including Best Pizza Margherita in the world at the World Cup in Naples, Italy and Best Pizza Romana at the World Championship of Pizza Makers in 2011. Tony was the first American and non-Neapolitan to win this coveted award in Naples. A firm believer in “My success is your success”, Tony taught his Craft for over 10 years to a great number of students, many who have gone on to win awards and open their own restaurants and pizzerias.

Tony’s Pizza Napoletana is a state-of-the-art full-service restaurant and is recognized as one of the best pizzerias in the world. Tony’s displays seven different ovens and offers numerous styles of pizzas which include Neapolitan, California, Classic American and Italian, Sicilian, Pizza Romana, New York, Grandma, New Haven, Detroit, St. Louis and Gluten Free. A delightful array of antipasti, insalata, pastas, and dolci are available at Tony’s. Along with a full bar that includes Italian and California wines, aperitif’s, digestives and hand-crafted cocktails. At Tony’s, we pride ourselves in using only the finest ingredients, including fresh herbs and locally sourced honey. We import authentic Neapolitan and Italian products each week and support several locally grown organic farmers and artisan cheese makers. All of our purveyors are specifically picked by Tony Gemignani, bringing you the highest quality food and drinks right to your table.
